Ms. Jessica Goes to Washington: The Prequel

draft-001

Next week is the week!  I will be travelling to Washington DC as part of the National Association for the Education of Young Children Public Policy Forum, and have appointments with the offices of Senator Thune, Senator Rounds, and Representative Noem.  My update on that adventure will have to wait until the March 7th blog, and I look forward to telling you all about it!

Is there anything our readers want me to pass along in Washington DC to our legislators?  (Now THAT might be a hot bed for conversation!)

As always, thank you for reading Early Education Plantation! Comment. Connect. Cultivate Change!

  1. Good for you Jessica! I went to that several years ago when I was serving as Public Policy person for BHAEYC. It was so inspiring! We met with Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth. We also met with Senator Thune and Senator Johnson’s staff. The senators were not available as they were at the Capitol voting on an early childhood issue. It was so exciting when we learned later that day that the vote passed for more funding for Early Childhood. I look forward to hearing about your trip! I also hope you have time to visit the Memorials while you are there. Very impressive!

    Best wishes,

  2. Jessica, this is terrific advocacy. Our state is fortunate to have your voice speaking to concerns that impact our children and their educational preparedness. Safe travels to you and Kayla. Kindly, Bobbi
